Avocados in the Nude

Happy & Healthy

Hi everybody! I’ve been so busy with all the brand NEW Bikinis I’ve been getting in for Spring.

I need to go on a diet asap so I can fit into these, they’re SO CUTE!

But of course, right when I should diet, what pops into my kitchen but a whole bunch of insanely incredible big huge fat avocados. Oh my!!

I have been rapturously eating the most decadent, creamy, divine Avocados!! So rich and delicious. So big!!

They’re Mexican Hass from….drumroll….the store!!

Hass aren’t in season here in CA so we’ve been happily picking organic yummy fresh Fuertes and Pueblos from the farm.

But wow! These avocados are SO GOOD I eat almost half naked (not me!! The avocado!!) with a sprinkle of salt and cayenne, then reluctantly relinquish the rest to my glorious salad.

Seriously, I fantasize about them ALL DAY. I try to only eat one per day, so I can be Bikini Ready at a moment’s notice.

But what a treat to get Hass. All day I look forward to having a giant one on my Crunchy Cabbage Salad, which I’m still completely obsessed with.

I’ve been adding fresh cilantro, Sunflower Sprouts, crispy Persian Cucumbers, fresh diced garlic, juicy grape tomatoes, vibrant sweet Bell Peppers, along with LOTS of shredded cabbage, onions,

fresh squeezed orange juice & meyer lemons (which we pick ourselves, organic from the trees!) and liberally sprinkled with sea salt & cayenne pepper.

Yikes, will I turn into the Girl Who Ate Cabbage Salad Every Night Until the End of Time? Ha!! Maybe!!!

Since I’ve been naughty about not eating regular sprouts, which are one of the very BEST superfoods you can possibly eat, since they’re ALIVE and bursting with life force enzymes, vitamins and minerals,

I thought of a creative and absolutely crazy way to eat them.

I don’t really like them on my spectacular Cabbage Salads, so I decided to try making a Green Smoothie with them! Oh dear. Yuck!! Well, it’s not too bad.

I like to grow a mix of alfalfa, clover and broccoli. So I put in a GIANT handful of fresh sprouts into my Green Smoothie,

along with a few handfuls of glorious organic Baby Arugula, baby bananas, coconut water, and my magical mix of Green Superfood Powders.

I blended it up and hmmm…it smelled so sprouty!! Yikes. It actually tasted pretty good. But the sprout taste is there.

It’s funny but arugula makes a wonderful Green Smoothie. As spicy & bitter as it is, it blends up and has a nice subtle flavor!

Especially with spinach. But I’m very happy about my new Secret Way of Eating More Sprouts.

I’ve been lax about eating Seaweed lately too, since I don’t want it in my Cabbage Salads, but yuck…I don’t want to even attempt a Seaweed Smoothie. Yuck!!!

I’ve also happily been making BlueBerry Smoothies and super yummy rich raw vegan Chocolate Shakes.

Smoothies make such healthy low fat, high fiber, filling desserts!
