Wow!! What a wonderful, fruit-ified, fig-ified Week! Last weekend Brian & I went fruit picking and were overjoyed to get a bunch of White Sapotes, yummy big fat juicy Heirloom Tomatoes, and a variety called Celebrity tomatoes, avocados, and melons.
We got to taste a few figs but they weren’t ready yet. Ooooh boy they will be in a few weeks! Whew, it was SO hot picking fruit.
A huge bee flew right under my big straw hat into my face, so I screamed and ran into the bushes, losing yet another pair of sunglasses at the farm. This is why I buy cheap sunglasses!
When we were finished picking, our friend cut open a giant watermelon and gave us each huge, juicy watermelon slices, crisp and cold from the fridge. Yum!!! It was so nice to cool off in the shade and eat it. It took me 20 minutes to eat my slice. I was soooo sticky from watermelon juice afterwards!
I’ve been making LOTS of veggie juice lately. I made some with Cabbage and radishes, hoping for the best. Yuck!! Whew, strong and sulphur-y. Yikes!! I’ve been growing a lot of sprouts too and trying to remember to eat seaweed on my salads. Seaweed is SO good for you!
